Whatever your orientation is towards this time of year, Christmas is the story of a man, his family and how he interacted with his community. Like all stories of distant past we will never know what actually happen and we will only pay attention to and tend to what feels true within us. For me the story of Jesus is about Love, Compassion, Forgiveness and Service...and ultimately an invitation to each of us to explore how well we have integrated these qualities into our hearts, family and community.
For many Christmas is a time of exchanging gifts, which ultimately provides us with the opportunity to share our gratitude and appreciation with those we love. For me, every day in Nature is a gift as I continue to deepen my adoration while I unwrap her simple magnificence. These images are my blessing to you as a way to honor one another as fellow beings having this human experience and connect you with the greatest gift we get all year long, which is nature herself.
Blessings Greg

Welcome to my upgraded website which has faster loading galleries filled with over 75% new images, each with their own slide show and option to manually navigate at your own speed. The latest images are my top picks from over 12,000 photographs taken from my last 18 adventures.
After 7 years of feedback from various contests, gallery’s and clients, I have heard repeatedly about the magical nature of the images. Originally I called the Macro Images of water, Facets of Nature. To align with peoples feedback, I am launching the Magic Photo Line :) The new galleries are Water Magic, Light Magic, Ice Magic, Earth Magic and Animal Magic + my new logo which is made up of one of my light images, Poof
Another new strategy will be cultivating Social Media and Networking to stay more connected to friends and expose the images to a wider audience. In an effort to have time to photograph nature and not to get lost in front of the computer, I am partnering with Jonno Norton who will be doing regular posts on Face book, Pinterest, Twitter and other portals.

The
Glade Spring Spa reflects nature's beauty with luxury services and pampering. The spa designers insisted upon all decorative elements to highlight nature. They selected
#06 Ebb & Flow to nourish their guests' visual experience of the tranquil beauty. It's a delight for me to see others gaining a sense of relief from their busy lives while enjoying a luxury resort.

#25 InTranced and #07 Amberosity are two images selected to flank the Westin logo displayed behind the main reception desk at the gorgeous Riverfront Resort & Spa. After an exhaustive search for appropriate images, Parker Blake Art Design & Consulting, selected these two. It's the perfect setting for Corto Images to compliment the elegant and relaxed resort welcoming guests to enjoy the splendor of the Colorado Rockies.

My partner, Lydia, and I were exploring a new arrangement for highlighting native dry bed rock with local fauna. The green in this image is lichen from one of the trees on the river bank. Although not all the elements are in their natural setting, #04 Suncadia combines the colorful composition of granite, local rocks and greenery. It's a visual feast for the eyes! It's named in honor of Suncadia Resort, a new luxury haven located in Cle Elum, Washington in the Cascade Mountains, a few hours east of Seattle. Also taken at Suncadia Resort are these four images in their natural setting: #13 Alluring, #33 Opus, #23 Rock Blossom and #10 Riverstar.

We've had great feedback on our first four greeting cards. So we've added two more to the collection:
JemezMent and
Amberosity. A box of twelve now contains 6 different images.

I love winter! Actually, I love every season but there's something especially mystifying about winter - when it's cold, the earth is frozen and nature seems to be hibernating, quiet in sleep, resting in anticipation of Spring's return. What I've discovered is that nature is not asleep at all - in fact it's just transformed into the magical mystery of frozen shapes - alive and awake and glistening in clever forms and reflections. Check out these images of suspended animation of fluid in motion in Winter's Debut and Frozen Fire.
Then chuckle with me at water's clever improvisation with Pawcicle.

What an honor to be chosen from among artists from five countries. I was selected by the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins to exhibit at the 2008 World Macro Exhibition. Jamezment will be highlighted. She was taken in the natural hot springs at the Bodhi Zen Center in Jamez Springs, New Mexico. The tones of blues and greens gurgling through the mineral rich algae seemed to harmonize with the tranquil Zen Center. The Macro World Exhibition will be February 29 - March 22, 2008 in Fort Collins, Colorado.

In October I traveled back to Kauai which I consider to be one of the most spectacular and pristine places remaining on earth. Its highest peak has a reputation of being the wettest place on earth only reachable by a helicopter a few times a year. What a wonderland for me to expand the exploration of interior designs found inside moving water. When I was last there I met #09 Grace Cascading.
Then I was in search for Grace's "cousin"! I came upon a seeping embankment where fresh water meets the sea. Hiding in a crevice I found #29 Aqua Bow and #27 Nature's Elixir. One of the things I love about Nature's Elixir is the reflection of the setting sun on the droplet of water looks like a mini disco ball!
